Symbol P300FZY Barcode Scanner

The Symbol P300FZY is a barcode scanner produced by Symbol Technologies, Inc. The unit is enclosed in a bright yellow and gray plastic enclosure with a gray rubber grip, a black trigger button that activates the laser diode that shines through a red plastic lens at the front, and has a hardwired serial cable protruding from the bottom of the device that connects to various adapters that allow it to interface via several port types depending on the customer's specific needs. Using “fuzzy logic”, the scanner is able to read barcodes that are damaged or are otherwise difficult for more basic scanners to properly read.
