Compaq Portable

The Compaq Portable is a luggable computer produced by the Compaq Computer Corporation, and is one of the first clones of the IBM 5150 Personal Computer. The hardwired QWERTY-style keyboard can be stored on the front of the unit, and is held in by two retractable clips on each side. The front also houses the integrated CRT display and two 5.25" floppy diskette drives. On the left side, protected by a sliding plastic cover, is the power port and fuse, while the right side has bays for five ISA expansion cards that could be added by taking the top cover off. This particular unit is equipped with a CGA video card and a serial/parallel card.
